Want to gain some new skills or practice those you have? We can help you:

How do I print?

Any of the Print Center, Lower Level, Cooke Wing, and Circulation Desk PCs can print to Printer 1 or Printer 2 in the Print Center.

The printers appear as LIBRARY_COPIER and LIBRARY_COPIER_2. They can print on 8.5x11" or 11x17", both of which are available in the print center and stocked in the machine. We can print to other paper types and sizes if the machine is programmed correctly. Ask a Library Assistant or Librarian to help with special paper requests.

Printer 2 is also set up for IP Printing (i.e., printing from personal laptops). This can be done if on the 1896 WiFi and using the correct IP Printer Directions for your device. We support Windows 10 and Windows 11; we cannot support MacOS at this time. Printed directions for this are available at the Circulation Desk and at https://library.delval.edu/help/printing

How do I scan?

There are FOUR scanners in the print center.

  • ScannX 1 - the smaller of the two, this one is best for single pages and odd sizes. You can close the lid on the scanner to catch the finer details of a page of handwritten notes, or an old newspaper.
  • ScannX 2 - this is the larger, overhead scanning one. This is best for multiple pages of a book, as it has several features to make the book easier to scan and come out in different formats.
  • Printer 1 and 2 (Xerox) - these are best for multiple-page documents, like a stack of pages. It should only be used for a standard size, 8.5x11" page, and it would be unwise to try anything but standard plain paper (i.e. not something delicate or easily torn in the feeder). Documents can be fed into the top and emailed or copied directly as needed using the control panel.

Available Equipment

The library has the following equipment available for use by all students. They can be borrowed from the Circulation Desk.

Chalk, Dry-Erase Markers, Hole Punchers, Paper Cutter, and Staplers are available at the Circulation Desk.

Windows PC Desktop Computers are available in the Cooke Wing and in the Lower Level.

A large book scanner is available for scanning materials to email or save documents via USB thumb drive in the Lobby.

Printing is free for all DelVal students, faculty, and staff. Print jobs can be initiated from the Library PCs or emailed to the Circulation Desk and picked up at the printer in the Lobby.
