One Health is the multi-disciplinary, systems approach that works locally, regionally, nationally, and globally to attain optimal well-being for people and society, the environment, and plants and animals. Together, the three major components make up the One Health triad. The welfare of each is inextricably linked to the others.
The DelVal One Health Working Group - lead by Reg Hoyt, Associate Professor and Chair of the Animal Biotechnology and Conservation Department - is composed of faculty, staff and students committed to One Health. We work to bring educational seminars to DelVal for the community to enjoy and we aspire to infuse One Health into all aspects of a DelVal education. DelVal's brand promise is to provide knowledge and experience to tackle the most important issues of our time, and we feel that the One Health Concept is central to that mission.
This index will be updated periodically as new seminars are held here at DelVal. Many of these are still under construction, so check back again later to see new content.
